Software Engineer with > 5 years of experience. Preferably experience at companies that specialize in point-of-sale systems and payments. Deep familiarity with CI/CD build tools for containerize applications.

• Ensures the test suite stays optimized over time for a product

• Provides coaching and technical expertise to enable the team to build & maintain automation support to deliver continuous integration

• Monitors reports regarding the build process to identify and correct issues

• Seeks input from customers and/or product management to ensure products add value & meet customer needs

• Monitors that code is reviewed to address issues, using root cause analyses to eliminate them in future

• Drives the development and execution of best practices across a team or a product

• May be the go-to expert to resolve customer problems using root cause analysis and to drive improvements back into the development process

• Identifies and drives the operational definition of quality for a product ensuring team has clear expectations and standards of excellence

• Tracks quality metrics for a product to identify any trends and then identifies and implements corrective actions when needed

• Trains/mentors team to deliver code that successfully and verifiably meets the functional and non-functional customer requirements (e.g., availability, reliability, extensibility, audit logging, maintainability)

• Works with SW Support, PS and product management to identify quality concerns and develops action plans to improve quality accordingly – for a product

Leads team in translating business requirements into technical implementation

• Go-to expert for team on domain, customer, user & strategic requirements; applies outside-in thinking in their approach

• Coaches team on the utilization of design-based thinking and ensures that they exhibit it in their • May act as an architect for a product

• Identifies areas where a team should design beyond scope if necessary to build right solution for a product

• Identifies opportunities for re-use of existing SW to accelerate or improve product delivery

• Directs the team in the development of code that is supportable, self-identifies problems and facilitates investigation

• A potential contributor to the development of IP for a product or group of products

Participate in the evolution of the SW Development lifecycle within product line and recommends modifications based on lessons learned

• Advocate for the utilization of the SW Development lifecycle

• Advises others on SW Engineering standard and emerging best practices

• Go-to expert in one particular domain or technology area

• Identifies patterns of issues, root causes and appropriate resolution to systems or processes for a product

• Team expert on a range of diagnostic tools and strategies to investigate problems

• Directs the team on building sufficient logging to provide the needed diagnostic output

• Monitors and interprets available metrics to identify trends

• Team expert on a range of strategies, techniques & tools to lead team in identifying possible resolutions that have lowest impact to dependent SW and the customer

• Lead role in the implementation of complex solutions including ensuring validation activities occur

• Ensures changes to test cases, test strategy and product documentation to sustain the solution
