Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic software development team. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Python and PySpark, demonstrating a passion for developing innovative software solutions. This role requires a proactive individual who can work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the design, development, and implementation of high-quality software applications.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable software applications using Python and PySpark.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Implement data processing pipelines and ETL processes to support data analytics and reporting.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
• Debug and troubleshoot software issues, providing timely resolutions to enhance system performance.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve software development processes.
• Participate in Agile development methodologies, contributing to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Document software designs, processes, and technical specifications for future reference.

Mandatory Skills:

• Proficient in Python programming language with a strong understanding of its libraries and frameworks.
• Extensive experience with PySpark for big data processing and analytics.
• Solid understanding of software development principles and methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of database systems, both SQL and NoSQL.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modeling.
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in software development or data engineering are a plus.
