Job Description
- Study Customer Requirements & develop machine concept and systems requirements as per scope of delivery for special-purpose machines, process machines, assembly and testing machines
- Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using CAD software – Autodesk Inventor. Develop detailed drawings and specifications for components and assemblies
- Analyze and optimize designs for cost, manufacturability, and performance.
- Perform stress analysis and other engineering calculations to ensure design integrity.
- Create and maintain engineering documentation such as BOMs, drawings, and test plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets customer requirements and troubleshoot and resolve design issues.
- Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives and maintain design standards and best practices
- Implement design improvements based on project learning and industry trends. Stay abreast with technological advancements and best practices
- Support and ensure compliance with ISO audits, RB guidelines, central directives, Statutory & Regulatory authorities, machine safety CE norms, UL Standards for export machines.
Skills Required :
- Proficient in 3D model software preferebaly Autodesk Inventor
- FEA analysis using Inventor / Ansys
- Statistical tolerance calculations / GD&T
Additional knowledge / experience :
- Automation technologies applicable for automotive industry
- Understanding of manufacturing process
- Materials and Heat treatment / Surface treatment
- Industry standards, codes and regulations
Qualifications
B.E – Mechanical
Additional Information
Minimum 3 to 4 years of experience in design of special-purpose machines / process machines / assembly and testing machines is a must
