Job Description

• Greet and seat guests warmly, ensuring comfort and satisfaction throughout their visit
• Present menus, take orders accurately, and serve food and beverages promptly with attention to detail
• Maintain table setup and cleanliness according to hotel standards and organizational guidelines
• Develop comprehensive knowledge of menu items, ingredients, daily specials, and preparation methods to provide informed recommendations
• Coordinate seamlessly with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate service delivery
• Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints with empathy and professionalism, demonstrating problem-solving abilities
• Adhere strictly to hygiene, grooming, and safety standards to ensure a safe and welcoming dining environment
• Assist with billing procedures, cash handling, and payment processing while maintaining accuracy and integrity
• Support setup and breakdown for banquets, special events, and themed dining experiences

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, or equivalent qualification
• 1–2 years of hands-on experience in food and beverage service within a hotel, restaurant, or similar hospitality establishment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage guests from diverse backgrounds
• Strong attention to detail, organizational abilities, and time management skills to handle multiple tasks during peak service periods
• Demonstrated positive attitude, team spirit, and collaborative work ethic
• Proficiency in cash handling, billing procedures, and POS (Point of Sale) system operations
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and move efficiently throughout the service area
• Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle challenging situations with empathy and professionalism
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and service protocols
• Preferred: Multilingual abilities or experience with digital ordering systems
