Job Description
- Coordinate opening and closing duties, ensuring all settings comply with departmental standards and procedures
- Supervise junior team members and ensuring assigned tasks are completed on time and to departmental standards
- Manage restaurant reservations and cancellations in accordance with departmental procedures; reconfirm reservations daily via phone or email
- Take food and beverage orders according to guest requirements and deliver services in compliance with departmental standards
- Upsell and promote food and beverage offerings to maximise sales revenue; cross-sell other dining venues when required
- Apply food safety and hygiene precautions in accordance with HACCP standards
- Handle guest complaints and comments professionally and efficiently, reporting irregularities to management
- Oversee outlet operations in the absence of management and assist other outlets during peak periods as required
- Attend all briefings, meetings, and training sessions as assigned
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance, hygiene, and punctuality; wear clean and complete uniform at all times
- Perform additional duties as assigned by hotel management
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management
- Additional certification(s) in Food & Beverage will be an advantage
- Good reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language
- Ability to speak other languages and basic understanding of local languages will be an advantage
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity
- Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, & PowerPoint
