Overall Responsibilities:
As a Product Owner at our company, you will be responsible for defining and communicating the product vision and strategy, in alignment with the company’s business goals. Your role will be pivotal in managing the product backlog, engaging with stakeholders, guiding the development process, and conducting market research to ensure our product stays competitive and meets the needs of our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Vision: Articulate and champion the product vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Backlog Management: Effectively prioritize and maintain the product backlog, focusing on delivering the most valuable features and improvements.
Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders across the organization to gather requirements, ensuring the product meets diverse needs.
Development Oversight: Lead the development team through each iteration, making certain that the product evolves coherently with the established vision.
User Stories: Craft clear and detailed user stories and acceptance criteria to guide the development team.
Market Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends and competitor activities through thorough market research.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in agile methodologies and understanding of software development cycles.
Experience with tools for backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, and task definition.
Knowledge of user experience (UX) design principles and customer-centric product development.
Experience:
A proven track record in product management or a similar role, preferably within a technology-focused organization.
Experience in working closely with engineering, design, and data science teams to launch and manage products.
Day-to-Day Activities:
Reviewing and updating the product backlog to reflect changing priorities.
Conducting meetings with stakeholders to collect feedback and refine product features.
Collaborating with the development team during sprint planning and reviews.
Analyzing user feedback and market data to adjust product strategy.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Demonstrable experience managing product lifecycles in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Soft Skills:
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Strong understanding of customer experience and market dynamics.
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to think both strategically and tactically with a strong attention to detail.
