Job Description

We’re looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented General Maintenance Technician to join our facilities management team at Grand Mercure Mysore, India. In this role, you’ll be the backbone of our operations, ensuring that all building systems, equipment, and infrastructure function smoothly and efficiently. You’ll work collaboratively with various departments while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. • Perform routine inspections of premises, building systems, and equipment to identify maintenance needs and potential issues
• Conduct preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing problems efficiently and implement effective solutions
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency breakdowns, demonstrating resilience and decisiveness under pressure
• Install, service, and repair equipment and fixtures, ensuring optimal performance and safety compliance
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance work, service logs, spare parts inventory, and equipment performance metrics
• Monitor equipment performance and utility systems, making recommendations for improvements and cost optimization
• Ensure proper cleaning, servicing, and maintenance of filters, coils, ducts, and ventilation systems
• Follow all safety procedures, regulations, and OSHA guidelines to maintain a secure work environment
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs and services when necessary
• Work closely with other departments to minimize operational disruption and support organizational goals
• Participate in training programs and professional development opportunities to enhance technical skills and stay current with industry best practices
• Suggest innovative improvements to maintenance processes and procedures for better efficiency and cost control
