Job Description
Gracenote Sports is a leading international sports company that provides innovative and unique products and services to the sports industry. Gracenote Sports is engaged in producing, distributing, publishing and monetization of sports data on all platforms.
Gracenote’s sports database is one of the largest in the world. Customers and partners are national and international media, TV channels, international sports federations, organizers of events (such as the Olympics and the Commonwealth Games), global auto manufacturers and global consumer electronics manufacturers.
Gracenote Sports offers its customers innovative distribution and publishing solutions with the ambition to publish their multilingual sports data in an unified schema within one second in all products.
What you’ll be doing:

Build and improve tools, making them extensible and maintainable as we onboard new sports and data formats
-
Own frontend architecture and UI decisions, including component design, reusability, and scalability
-
Work across the stack, owning backend services and APIs
-
Collaborate with product, content operations, and backend teams to define requirements and drive delivery
-
Drive technical direction and decisions for the team
-
Lead system design reviews, code reviews, and architectural discussions
-
Lead modernization and improvement of existing tooling
-
Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration
-
Own system reliability, including production incidents, post-mortems, and root-cause analysis
Qualifications
Must Have
-
6+ years of professional software engineering experience
-
Strong frontend skills with ownership of frontend architecture
-
Expertise with Angular and modern frontend patterns
-
Ability to build reusable, scalable UI components that work across different contexts
-
Solid backend experience with Java/Spring Boot or similar
-
Understanding of concurrency challenges
-
Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
-
Experience with system design and architecture
-
Write unit tested code and regression tests as part of standard coding practices
-
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
-
Good communication skills in English and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
-
B.E / B.Tech / BCA / MCA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
Good to Have

Experience with design systems or component libraries
-
Experience with React
-
Experience modernizing or migrating existing applications

Familiarity with testing frameworks (Cypress, Playwright, Jest)

Cloud platform experience (AWS)
-
State management patterns (NgRx, Redux, etc.)

An affinity with sports
-
Experience with CI/CD pipelines
-
Experience with APIs, JSON, and XML
