Amazon is seeking an experienced Accounting Analyst based in Bangalore, IN. Our team runs an innovative global project that drives Amazon Stores strategic decisions, identifying opportunities to improve customer experience through research methodologies and purpose-built software solutions.
The Accounting Analyst will be hands-on and have an entrepreneurial spirit / start-up mindset as they support the operational accounting of a global team, which includes day-to-day management of financial accounts, accounts payable support, and annual audit support. They will prepare key metrics and weekly, monthly, quarterly finance reporting as well as support processes for analyzing performance to understand business variations.

– Have experience in Oracle and other accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks
– Have in-depth knowledge of Indian GAAP and IND_AS
– Basic level understanding of tax laws

Key job responsibilities
Key Responsibilities Include:
– Support accounting operations, including month end close processes, day-to-day management of financial accounts, accounts payable support, and annual audit support for multiple entities around the world
– Recording and cleaning up Excel data, performing a wide range of data collection, data entry, and data processing related tasks
– Support ongoing finance reporting, analysis, and forecasting
– Assist in improving processes across all entities
– Work with other teams to ensure our financial reporting is in sync with other systems
– Support tax teams by providing audited FS, other documents for tax compliance

We are a team of builders that develop products, services, ideas, and various ways of leveraging data to influence product and service offerings for almost every business at Amazon — for every customer (e.g., consumers, developers, sellers/brands, employees, investors, streamers, gamers).
Our approach is based on determining the customer needs, along with problem solving, and we work backwards from there. We use technical and non-technical approaches and stay aware of industry and business trends. We are a global team, made up of a diverse set of profiles, skills, and backgrounds — including: Product Managers, Software Developers, Computer Vision experts, Solution Architects, Data Scientists, Business Intelligence Engineers, Business Analysts, Risk Managers, and more.
Basic Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree in accounting and commerce (B. Com)
– Knowledge of Excel at an advanced level
– Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
– Experience with accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks
– Currently pursuing CA course, sufficient experience to sit for the CA Final Exam (a CA license is not required for this position)
Preferred Qualifications
– 3+ years of finance operations/shared services, accounts payable, account receivable (collections) or general ledger experience
