Job Description
Purpose of the role
To provide independent and balanced advice and counsel to senior stakeholders through problem identification, solving and decision making practices.
Accountabilities
- Provision of strategic advice to Group Executives to support the decision-making process of business challenges and opportunities.
- Development and implementation of strategic advisory incentives to grow and optimise the bank’s operations, through market research and analysis.
- Collaboration with various stakeholder groups to identify the appropriate strategic direction type to meet the needs of Barclays clients and investors.
- Development of financial models to support strategic recommendations and transactions through financial data analysis, financial projects and considering the financial impact of transactions.
- Management of transactions, negotiations, transaction structure development and post-transaction integration.
- Collaboration with internal stakeholders to maintain client relationships, and develop new relationships to identify opportunities.
- Identification of industry trends, maintain peer benchmarking and developments related to strategic advisory services by attendings conferences, participating in training and conducting market research.

To be successful as a Cyber Risk Governance & Reporting, you should have experience with:

Managing a large and complex portfolio of cyber risk governance, regulatory assurance, and reporting activities across regions, entities, and stakeholders

Performing data analysis and preparing responses to support Barclays’ continued compliance with regulatory obligations across the globe
-
Strong working knowledge of cyber security, risk management, and regulatory expectations, with the ability to translate complex technical content into clear, non-technical outputs for senior stakeholders and regulators
-
Using collaboration, workflow, and reporting platforms such as SharePoint, trackers, and MI dashboards to generate insights, support decision-making, monitor delivery, and highlight emerging risks

Supporting tracking, oversight, and resolution of control issues, including those raised by 2LOD and internal assessments that could impact regulatory compliance

Driving group-wide GRC assessments, reporting, and compliance to the Barclays Control Framework to identify control enhancements aligned to regulatory requirements

Enabling proactive risk identification through thematic analysis, MI-driven insights, continuous improvement initiatives, and effective stakeholder engagement
Some other highly valued skills may include:

Strong experience in Governance, Risk & Control within large enterprises, preferably within financial services or a similarly regulated environment

Ability to generate, analyse, and interpret cyber security MI using qualitative and quantitative techniques to identify trends, risks, control gaps, and improvement opportunities

Experience with audit oversight, control frameworks, internal assessment activities, and regulatory requirements, including the ability to support evidence-based assurance and issue remediation

Ability to translate technical cyber risks into business-relevant insights, reporting narratives, and actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across cyber, technology, risk, compliance, audit, and senior leadership teams.
