As a founding member of our new Bangalore team, you’ll architect and develop mission-critical fulfillment technology that ensures medication safety for millions while enabling rapid delivery capabilities to scale the business. You’ll work on complex distributed systems handling inventory management, order orchestration, and compliance-critical workflows, building from the ground up using Amazon’s latest cloud-native technologies and AI/ML capabilities.

Amazon Pharmacy is transforming how customers access healthcare by combining Amazon’s customer obsession and operational excellence with pharmacy services – making it easier for customers to find, purchase, and receive their medications. Key job responsibilities
– Design and implement software solutions that enable new features and improvements across major portions of your team’s systems, balancing short-term delivery with long-term maintainability.
– Own the full software development lifecycle for your projects, including product definition, scoping, coding, testing, deployment, and ongoing operational support.
– Actively participate in code reviews, providing meaningful and constructive feedback to teammates, and coach others on producing high-quality, well-documented code.
– Collaborate with customers, stakeholders, and cross-functional peers to understand business and customer value, ensuring you deliver the right solutions to the right problems.
– Identify and resolve root causes of operational issues, driving permanent fixes and continuously improving your team’s processes and system reliability.

Basic Qualifications

– 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
– 1+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
– Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

– 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
– Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
