The Corporate Information and Technology (CIT) department provides specialized solutions and support to IFC (International Finance Corporation) for key business applications leveraging technology, data, and innovation. The CITDE (Data Engineering) unit manages IFC’s data platforms and technologies. Those include Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Dremio, Informatica, TIBCO Composite, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks, and are in place for supporting IFC’s various applications. To support and provide physical and logical administration of this infrastructure is critical for the smooth functioning of our operations.

To support those services, CIT would like to extend its core team with additional resources who would work together with a core CITDE team in HQ and Chennai to achieve the following objectives:

· Provide the maximum uptime for the database platforms of IFC applications.

· Ensure the database platforms are compliant with the WBG security standards.

· Ensure the database platforms are tuned to perform at their peak performance levels.

· Ensure the databases are backed up regularly and compliant with WBG backup strategy.

· Facilitate all audit requirements that are initiated by WBG both internal and external.

Skills

Perform all aspects of Database operations and administration services in accordance with established processes and guidelines. These include, but are not limited to:

· Install, configure, and maintain database instances / servers with the versions required by IFC.

· Enhance database performance by query and process optimization.

· Maintain integrity of databases by having proper backup and recovery processes.

· Apply database changes according to change management procedures.

· Carry out regular capacity planning activities.

· Perform database refresh and cloning as required by the respective application teams.

· Support the version upgrade and patching activities along with oracle platinum support as planned by IFC.

· Maintain operational documentation, technical diagrams, and business continuity/disaster recovery procedures.

· Participate actively in all aspects of infrastructure projects and technical upgrades.

· Provide database provisioning and technical support services to application development projects.

· Perform supporting services for IFC’s Reporting and batch process control platform.

· Perform Database Backup and Restore activities in close coordination with WBG ITS teams.

· Participate in security audits and compliance initiatives. Ensure the database environment is fully compliant with IFC security policies and internal controls.

· Provide 24/7 incident response for IFC’s production environment along with CIT’s core database team in HQ and Chennai through established escalation processes. (Weekdays through shift coverage, for weekends and WBG holidays through on-call support).

· Provide periodic and ad-hoc status reports including KPIs as requested by IFC’s delivery lead.

· Perform periodic performance tuning of applications and capacity planning.

· Participate in coding of stored procedures and triggers, using SQL as needed for the operations.

· Provide logical support in Oracle, SQL Server and PostgreSQL and Dremio across various environments.

· Provide support of the Dremio infrastructure for data engineering needs of IFC.

· Provide support for DevOps migrations in Azure ecosystem, including Azure Databricks.

· Provide support for CIT operations using an onsite/offshore delivery model.
