JOB POSITION

Carelon Global Solutions India is seeking for Sr Systems Engineer I/Application Re-packager professionals who provide technical support to users.  As a Senior Application Repackaging Engineer, they should lead end-to-end application packaging, modernization, and deployment processes across our enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in MSI/MSIX packaging, App-V, application testing, and deployment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

Provide technical assistance to the applications by performing the following duties:

PC Vulnerability Remediation Support Services (Physical & Virtual Endpoints)

Overview

We are seeking to engage focused exclusively on remediation of PC vulnerabilities across both physical and virtual Windows endpoints. The primary objective is to reduce the organization’s vulnerability exposure identified through Qualys vulnerability scanning by remediating vulnerable applications, configurations, and endpoint-related risks.

These resources will work closely with Endpoint Engineering, SCCM/MECM, Nexthink, Security, and application owners to identify, coordinate, remediate, and track vulnerabilities at scale.

Scope of Work

1. Vulnerability Remediation Activities

The contractors will be responsible for identifying and remediating vulnerabilities affecting Windows-based PCs and virtual desktops.

Activities include:

•             Review and analyze Qualys vulnerability findings

•             Identify vulnerable software, applications, browser plugins, and configurations

•             Determine appropriate remediation methods including:

o             Software removal

o             Software patching/upgrading

o             Configuration changes

o             Registry modifications

o             Application replacements where applicable

•             Validate successful remediation after implementation

2. Endpoint Remediation Execution

Small-Scale / Individual Remediation

•             Remediate vulnerabilities directly on individual PCs when limited systems are impacted

•             Troubleshoot application or remediation failures

•             Coordinate directly with end users when required

Large-Scale / Enterprise Remediation

When vulnerabilities impact larger groups of systems:

•             Partner with SCCM/MECM teams to deploy remediation packages

•             Partner with Nexthink teams for targeting, visibility, automation, and remediation tracking

•             Coordinate remediation campaigns across enterprise device populations

•             Assist with deployment validation and remediation reporting

3. Coordination & Communication

Strong communication and coordination skills are critical for this engagement.

Responsibilities include:

•             Working directly with:

o             Application owners

o             Security teams

o             Endpoint engineering teams

o             Infrastructure support teams

o             End users where needed

•             Providing clear and professional communication via:

o             Email

o             Microsoft Teams

o             Meetings/calls

•             Coordinating remediation windows and validation activities

4. Reporting & Progress Tracking

Will be expected to provide ongoing visibility into remediation progress.

Deliverables include:

•             Weekly status updates including:

o             Vulnerabilities remediated

o             Systems remediated

o             Current blockers/issues

o             Planned work for upcoming week

•             Monthly remediation metrics and trending

•             Forecasting/projections for:

o             Weekly remediation capacity

o             Monthly remediation completion estimates

•             Documentation of recurring remediation procedures and lessons learned

Technical Skills

•             Strong Windows PC support and engineering experience

•             Deep understanding of Windows Operating Systems:

o             Windows 10

o             Windows 11

o             Virtual desktop environments

•             Experience with enterprise endpoint remediation

•             Experience interpreting vulnerability scan results (Qualys preferred)

•             Strong knowledge of:

o             PC software installation/removal

o             Application patching/upgrading

o             Software troubleshooting

o             Windows configuration management

•             Experience with SCCM/MECM deployments and remediation coordination

•             Experience working with Nexthink or similar endpoint analytics/remediation platforms

•             Ability to research vulnerabilities and determine remediation strategies independently

QUALIFICATION

•             Bachelors’ or Masters’ is Computer Science/ IT or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE

•             Systems Analyst II  more than 3 Years in IT.
