Job Summary

This hybrid day shift role seeks a seasoned technical lead with twelve to sixteen years of experience in mainframe application development and maintenance using JCL DB2 and Cobol. The role focuses on designing robust solutions guiding complex technical delivery and ensuring high quality systems that support business critical transactions in a cards and payments environment while maintaining strong cross team collaboration and operational stability.

Responsibilities

• Lead end to end technical design of mainframe applications using JCL DB2 and Cobol to deliver resilient solutions that align with enterprise architecture and performance expectations.
• Drive implementation of complex batch and online processing components that optimize resource usage and ensure timely completion of business critical workloads in a hybrid work model.
• Guide detailed analysis of existing Cobol and DB2 programs to identify optimization opportunities that reduce processing time and enhance overall application stability.
• Coordinate migration and enhancement efforts for legacy components to modernized patterns while preserving data integrity and minimizing disruption to ongoing operations.
