Job Title: Mainframe Developer Designation: Web Module Lead

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Developer with a strong focus on IMS DBA knowledge to join our dynamic team in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing mainframe applications while ensuring the integrity and performance of the IMS database. This role requires a deep understanding of mainframe technologies and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions that meet business needs.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and other relevant technologies.
• Manage and maintain IMS databases, ensuring data integrity, availability, and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Perform database tuning and optimization to enhance application performance.
• Conduct regular database backups and recovery procedures to safeguard data.
• Monitor and troubleshoot database issues, providing timely resolutions.
• Document technical processes and maintain up-to-date knowledge of mainframe technologies.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices in software development.
• Provide support during system upgrades and migrations.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in mainframe technologies.

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Mainframe IMS DBA, including database design, administration, and performance tuning.
• Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, and other mainframe programming languages.
• Experience with mainframe tools and utilities for database management.
• Solid understanding of data modeling and database architecture.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with other mainframe technologies such as CICS, DB2, and VSAM.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of performance monitoring tools and techniques.
• Understanding of cloud technologies and their integration with mainframe systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in mainframe technologies or database administration are a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
