Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Developer – Platform/Product to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Tandem Cobol and will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust platform solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of software development processes and a commitment to delivering high-quality products that meet our clients’ needs.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement software solutions using Tandem Cobol.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Maintain and enhance existing applications, ensuring they meet current business needs.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Document development processes, code changes, and application functionalities.
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve development practices.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior developers and other team members.

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong knowledge and experience in Tandem Cobol programming.
• Proficiency in software development methodologies and best practices.
• Experience with database management and SQL.
• Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with other programming languages such as Java or C#.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Knowledge of cloud computing and platform integration.
• Understanding of DevOps practices and tools.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in software development or project management are a plus.
