Data Engineer – Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake & dbt

Join the Data & Analytics organization to help build scalable data solutions, drive business insights, and enable data-driven decision-making across Thomson Reuters. The role combines data engineering, analytics, visualization, and AI-enabled analytics using modern platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, Power BI, Tableau, and dbt.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze business, financial, and operational data requirements.
• Design semantic models, data marts, and analytics solutions.
• Build dashboards and visualizations using Power BI and/or Tableau.
• Develop and maintain data transformation pipelines using dbt and Snowflake.
• Create and support semantic models in Microsoft Fabric.
• Deliver actionable insights through reporting, presentations, and data storytelling.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
• Support AI-driven analytics, including Generative AI and self-service analytics solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Snowflake, and dbt.
• Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
• Experience building data pipelines and transformation workflows.
• Hands-on experience with dashboard development and data visualization.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Generative AI, AI-powered analytics, or conversational analytics.
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices and cloud-based data platforms.
• Experience with financial and operational data.
• Familiarity with data governance and data quality practices.
• Relevant Microsoft, Power BI, or Snowflake certifications.
