PROCUREMENT LEAD (MUMBAI)Â
Lead operational procurement activities for a global maritime fleet while supporting the Procurement Manager in delivering service excellence, cost efficiency, and stakeholder satisfaction. As a Procurement Lead, you will oversee a team of Procurement Officers, ensuring procurement processes are executed in line with agreed service levels, governance requirements, and operational priorities.Â
Working closely with Vessel Managers, Technical teams, suppliers, and logistics partners, you will ensure the timely delivery of goods and services, drive continuous improvement initiatives, monitor team performance, and support sourcing and supplier management activities.Â

About the RoleÂ
We are looking for an experienced Procurement Lead to support fleet operations by leading day-to-day procurement activities, managing team performance, and ensuring operational deliverables are achieved.Â
Â
What You Will DoÂ
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Procurement OfficersÂ
- Ensure procurement transactions are processed within agreed SLAsÂ
- Coordinate with Vessel Managers, Technical teams, suppliers, and logistics providers to ensure timely delivery of goods and servicesÂ
- Monitor team KPIs, performance, and resource planningÂ
- Support sourcing, supplier management, negotiations, and cost optimization initiativesÂ
- Ensure compliance with procurement procedures, systems, and governance requirementsÂ
- Drive process improvement and support the Procurement Manager as required

What We Are Looking ForÂ
- 3–5 years of maritime procurement experience with procurement, logistics, or supervisory exposureÂ
- Shipping or sailing experienceÂ
- Degree, Diploma, FE Qualification, or CIPS qualificationÂ
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skillsÂ
- Good understanding of marine procurement, logistics, and supplier managementÂ
- Experience with BASSnet or similar procurement systemsÂ
- Results-oriented, analytical, and solution-driven mindsetÂ
