Job Description

We’re looking for a skilled Power BI Developer & Administrator to design impactful dashboards, manage our Power BI platform, and deliver data-driven insights to business stakeholders. This role blends hands-on BI development with platform administration in an enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

Power BI Development

• Design and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and scorecards
• Translate business requirements into reporting solutions
• Build optimized data models (Star/Snowflake schemas), DAX measures, and KPIs
• Perform data transformation using Power Query (M)
• Integrate Power BI with SQL Server, Azure SQL, Excel, SharePoint, Databricks, and cloud apps

Power BI Administration

• Manage Power BI Service, workspaces, datasets, dataflows, and deployment pipelines
• Configure gateway connections, user access, and security groups
• Implement Row-Level and Object-Level Security (RLS/OLS)
• Monitor capacity, performance, and refresh schedules

Support & Operations

• Troubleshoot platform incidents and perform root cause analysis
• Maintain SOPs, documentation, and knowledge base articles
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, Analysts, and business stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.

The role is based in our office in SP Infocity, Pune – but it goes without saying that the remote & hybrid working is a part of our modern ways of working.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in Power BI Development.
• Experience managing Power BI Service administration activities.
• Strong understanding of Business Intelligence concepts, Data Warehousing, and ETL processes.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.

Preferred Experience

• Supporting enterprise-scale Power BI environments.
• AMS (Application Management Services) support model.
• ITIL-based support processes.
• ServiceNow ticketing and incident management.
• AI-powered analytics, Microsoft Fabric.

Required Skills & Experience

• Power BI: Desktop, Service, Power Query, DAX, Data Modeling, Dataflows, Deployment Pipelines
• Database: SQL
• Administration: Tenant Admin, Gateway Management, Workspace Admin, Security, Capacity Monitoring
• Integration: Azure Data Services, SharePoint, API-based Integration

Preferred: Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Azure DevOps, CI/CD for BI, Data Governance frameworks, AMS/ITIL support models, ServiceNow.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in Power BI Development.
